Akron, Ohio – August 1, 2012 – When Justin Smith started his company in his Stow, Ohio, apartment in 2004, he never dreamed it would become one of the fastest growing companies in America. Today, it was named just that by Inc. Magazine.
OuterBox Solutions, now based in Akron, Ohio, and providing website design, development and marketing to companies across the country, was recently placed on the Inc. 500 List, which ranks companies by revenue growth over a three-year period. As a Top 500 company, OuterBox will be featured in the September issue of Inc. Magazine, the leading entrepreneurial magazine for 30 years running. OuterBox's niche has come in eCommerce solutions and marketing service for businesses selling online.
Today, OuterBox is one of the largest eCommerce website providers in the region with customers located in nearly every state and multiple countries. The company also provides additional digital services including search engine optimization (SEO), mobile web development and application development to companies and organizations that do business via the internet.
To be eligible for the Inc. 500 List, companies must meet several performance criteria: They must have generated at least $100,000 in revenue in 2008 and at least $2 million in revenue in 2011. The company must also be a privately held for-profit business based in the U.S. and cannot be a subsidiary or division of another company.
“We provide a high-quality product in the high-demand eCommerce business. Companies rely on OuterBox to create websites that are extremely efficient and fully optimized for generating large sales volumes. It is an extreme honor to be named to the Inc. 500 List, earned through the hard work of many individuals,” said Justin Smith, OuterBox CEO.
The Inc. 500 List was introduced in 1982 and has since become a hallmark of entrepreneurial success and the place where future household names first make their mark. Pandora, 7-Eleven, Toys 'R' Us, Zipcar, Zappos.com
and numerous other well-known brands have been honored by the Inc. 500|5000. Today, the list is a celebration of innovation as well as a network of entrepreneurial leaders.
